She is currently the Program Manager for the Division of Anesthesia and Critical Care at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She has been with ONCCC-R-NET since it inception in 2015 and now serves as the Director of Operations for ONCCC-R-NET. |
John Cuenca Trujillo, MDResearch CoordinatorThe University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center
Dr. Cuenca is an Ecuadorian physician graduated from Universidad Catolica de Santiago de Guayaquil. He is currently a research assistant in the Division of Anesthesia and Critical Care at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research is focused on the outcomes of septic shock on cancer patients. He has been involved in supporting international research projects within the ONCCC-R-NET. Additionally, Dr. Cuenca participates as part of the planning committee for the Third International Symposium of Critical Care in Cancer Patients. |

Andrés Laserna, MD
Dr. Laserna served as the executive secretary of ONCCC-R-NET while working as a Research Assistant for the Division of Anesthesia, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He supported the development of the first oncologic critical care textbook as well as other international research projects. Additionally, Dr. Laserna contributed to the strategic goals of improving the care of critically ill patients by enhancing education initiatives for health care providers.
Kian Kevin Azimpoor
Kian served as the coordinator of ONCCC-R-NET for a period of one year. He actively participated in the editorial team of the ONCCC-R-NET textbook and in the development of the first symposium.
Steven Ovu, MD, MPH
Dr. Ovu formerly served as director of ONCCC-R-NET while working as a Clinical Studies Coordinator for the Department of Critical Care at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Ovu currently serves as an internal medicine resident physician at the New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
